We are so excited to announce the details for this years Mid Year Showcase!

Our Mid Year Showcase is an informal concert that allows parents, grandparents and friends to see what your children have learnt in class throughout the first half of the year. Our Mid Year Showcase will definitely be a highlight of the year and so much fun! All students at APA are involved in this concert so we can't wait to showcase their talents!

WHEN

Sunday 16th June

Please see the show orders below to see which show/s your dancer is performing in.

LOCATION

Our Mid Year Showcase will be held at Forest Lake State High School ACE Building - High Street, Forest Lake.

UNIFORM

All students are required to wear full Adrenaline Performing Arts uniform to perform in as well as the correct footwear. No costumes are worn for this showcase.

Please use this guide above to help with what uniform your dancer needs!

Please note: As it will be winter dancers may wish to wear something warm over their uniform that they can take off quickly and easily like a jacket etc. Our crew jumpers are perfect for this!

Make sure you don't leave any uniform purchases until the last minute as our uniform does sell out fast!

Note: All ballet students will need to wear APA leotard, ballet shoes & tights for showcase. Hair can remain in ponytail.

GROOMING

Girls hair is required to be pulled neatly off their face in a middle height ponytail (in line with ears with centre part). There is no need for makeup as there are no stage lights, however if older students wish to wear light makeup they can. Students can wear green/black hair/RSD accessories if they wish.

Please also make sure shoes and uniforms are clean and looking presentable.

We have divided the day into 4 shorter shows:

• MINI STARS - 9AM SHOW: All Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Ballet, Ready Set Acro & all mini students (including Pre-Primary Ballet)

• SHOOTING STARS - 11.30AM SHOW: All Wednesday night students

• RISING STARS - 1.30PM SHOW: All younger years ballet, Comdance jazz & tap, musical theatre & performance team students (please see show orders for which grades involved)

• FUTURE STARS - 4.00PM SHOW: All older years ballet, Comdance jazz & tap, musical theatre & performance team students (please see show orders for which grades involved)

If you are unsure of your dancers class names these can be viewed on the Parent Portal or ask our friendly team.

***If your child is unable to attend the concert – please let us know ASAP so teachers can be notified.***

Arrival Times

Students are to arrive 30mins prior to show commencing. Please make sure you are not late so your child has enough time to prepare for the show.

Below are the arrival times for the shows:

• MINI STARS - Arrival 8.30am, show commencing at 9am

• SHOOTING STARS - Arrival 11.00am, show commencing at 11.30am

• RISING STARS - Arrival 1.00pm, show commencing at 1.30pm

• FUTURE STARS - Arrival 3.30pm, show commencing at 4.00pm

Show Day Procedures

• Please ensure your Dancer arrives wearing their Adrenaline Performing Arts uniform and brings all required shoes for their dances. We recommend our youngest students should arrive wearing the shoes for their FIRST dance with any other shoes in a labelled ziplock bag along with a labelled water bottle. Older students can bring a small dance bag with their required shoes.

• Parents will enter the ACE building, we will have a check in desk for all students. All students will receive a wristband when they check in.

• Parents are then free to wait in foyer before show commences.

• Parents will have their tickets scanned for entry at the theatre doors, then proceed to their seats. Please note, entry is general admission and there is no allocated seating.

• Dancers remain backstage for the duration of the show as they are required to come back on for a finale type finish at the end of the show.

• Dancers will then be supervised for pickup after the concert concludes.

• We will announce further details after the show as to where to meet your dancer in the foyer.

• Please note, Dancers are not able to leave after their dance during the show as staff are unable to facilitate this process due to supervision requirements back stage and the safety of all dancers.

Parking & Map

• Parking is accessible off High Street, Forest Lake (see map attached)

• The ACE Building is the closest to the visitor car park, we will have a number of staff helping you find the building.

If you aren't already, please make sure you are on Band App. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your dancer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year. Reach out if you need any assistance with joining your dancers classes on Band.

Tickets go on sale Saturday 25 May - 11am and can be purchased by clicking the button at the top of this page.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Adults $22

School Aged Child* $15

Unlimited shows (Day Pass) - Adults $35, School Aged Child* $25

* Children who are not yet at school do not require a ticket if they will not be occupying a seat and will sit on a parents lap.

***Note: Tickets are general admission, there is no allocated seating or limits on number of tickets you can purchase.

Tickets available until sold out. We encourage you to invite grandparents, extended family members & friends to support your dancer!

*** Dancers do not need to purchase a ticket to their show or to watch siblings. ***
