LOCATION
Our End of Year Concert will be held at:
St John's Anglican College Performing Arts Centre
College Avenue, Forest Lake
DATE & TIME
Our End of Year Concert will be held on Saturday 6 December at 5pm.
See the Concert Day Procedures below for arrival times.
All students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.
In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.
If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.
CONCERT TSHIRT
All students receive a concert commemorative t-shirt included as part of their inclusive concert package. All students have been sized for their shirts so you don't need to worry about a thing! Students will be handed their concert t-shirt at our Studio Rehearsal on Saturday 29 November.
CONCERT MEMORABILIA
VIDEOS
We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents will receive a digital download of their dancers show included as a part of your inclusive concert package. All parents will be emailed with a unique log in which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home once available. If you have recently changed emails, please drop us an email at admin@adrenalinepa.com.au to ensure we have an up to date email address for you and you don’t miss out. Concert videos will be emailed out as soon as we receive them. We recommend downloading them straight away and keeping them in a safe place as they aren't available forever.
ON STAGE PHOTOS
We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. Please be aware that they are “live on stage” images and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child. All digital images will be available to purchase after our concert. Please view our Concert Photo Order Guide for instructions on how to order here. We will also distribute links after the show.
REHEARSALS
At Adrenaline Performing Arts we understand that the end of year is a busy time for families and as such we will be holding a whole studio rehearsal day at the studio one week prior to our show. Students involved in Limitless are also required for a stage rehearsal the afternoon before the show. Please see all rehearsal details below.
During week 9 students will have normal classes running all week (except Friday & Saturday due to concert events). Students will be practicing their concert routines and transitions during these last few lessons. We understand some students may have last week of school events but please do your very best to attend your normal class times.

12.30pm - 3.15pm
ALL Illuminate Performance Team students are required at our Technical/Dress Rehearsal at 12.30pm on Saturday 6 December.
Students with lots of quick changes may use this rehearsal to practice for the real show.
Please arrive with everything you require for the show.
Parents are NOT allowed to drop anything else off backstage in between the rehearsal and the show.
Rehearsal will start at 12.45pm SHARP and the stage door will be unattended after this time so please arrive on time.
We understand this is a very long day for those required before the show. Please send them with enough food and entertainment for the breaks.
When students are not rehearsing they will be required to sit in the auditorium and watch.
We expect this rehearsal to finish around 3.15pm which gives our performers plenty of time before the show to get ready with makeup and hair.
Similar to last year parents are allowed to come and 'sign out' their child to do their hair and makeup on St John's grounds and enjoy some fresh air.
Please note, ONLY students that are collected and signed out by their parent are allowed to leave from the stage door, but MUST stay on St John's grounds. This is very important as we must know where all students are at all times. No exceptions. All students who stay backstage until show time will be supervised by our staff and are welcome to get ready themselves (with staff assistance if needed) during that break.
Arrival time backstage before the show is 4.15pm at the latest
DROP OFF & PICK UP
On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done and stockings on before being dropped off. Students are required to arrive 45mins before their show time - 4.15pm arrival at the latest.
During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area. Students will then be guided to their dressing room area. No parents are allowed in the dressing rooms please.
We will have two drop off points this year; Drop off A (stage door/backstage) and Drop off B (foyer). We will let students know prior to the show which drop off point they need to go to. All students will need to be picked up from their drop off point after the show. Students will stay in this location and need to have their name marked off by their group leader.
We encourage you all to head down/hang around the foyer after the show, chat to your teachers and friends, get lots of photos and celebrate a successful year!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us.
We will ensure that we talk you through the concert day procedure again in the weeks leading up to the concert.
SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY
As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in / out. Only Adrenaline staff and registered helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for the concert. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.
THEATRE RULES
Please don't move around the theatre during the performance. If you need to leave the theatre, please do so during a suitable break in the show. ABSOLUTELY NO photography or videos are to be taken during the show! We have professional photographers and videographers capturing all the moments. Offenders will be asked to leave the theatre immediately. NO performers should be in the auditorium in costume. Please do not be late.
WHAT TO WEAR
COSTUMES
Costumes are an additional cost in 2025. Costumes deposits should now have been paid and balances have been billed to your accounts. Please note costume payments are due in full by our Photo Day (Sunday 16 November). Costumes will be available for collection from reception if paid in full during Week 6. Any student with outstanding costume fees on concert day will not be allowed to collect costumes, therefore unable to perform. All students are responsible for their own tights and shoes. Please see shoes & stockings requirements listed below. Please ensure you read further costume info in the dropdown box below.
SHOES & STOCKINGS
Please find our shoes & stockings guide for each class here. You can also view this in your parent portal (see further info below in costumes dropdown box). These requirements are your responsibility and will need to be purchased prior to our concert. Stockings are available for purchase at the studio in the lead up to concert or they are available from any dance shop. When wearing tan stirrup stockings for jazz & tap routines please pull down over heels so that no skin in showing.
If you have any questions about the requirements please see our friendly team!
UNDERWEAR
Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes. Please make sure your child is wearing flesh coloured underwear.
HAIR
All dancers will require a NEAT centre part ponytail in line with their ears for the concert (middle height).
You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve the slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair. Ponytail is to be straight and make sure all fringes and shorter front bits are pinned back.
Ballet buns are required for everyone in ballet routines with hair nets. Performance team students we will discuss easiest times to put hair in buns during show.
Please note, for boys neat and tidy hair is all that is required.
MAKEUP
Stage makeup needs to be heavier than normal day makeup. Please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.
>>PLEASE READ OUR GROOMING GUIDELINES HERE FOR MAKEUP INSTRUCTIONS<<
Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.
JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH
No Jewellery is to be worn (including earrings), please leave all jewellery at home. Also, please remove all nail polish.
*Students in 12/under, 15/under & Opens performance teams only are required to wear small-medium diamante earrings.
WHAT TO BRING
FOOD & DRINK
Please send your child with adequate food/snacks for the time they are at the theatre. There will be no dropping off of food by parents allowed either. Also, make sure your child has adequate water. Please no nuts as we have a number of students with nut allergies.
PACKING CHECKLIST
It is suggested that students bring all of their belongings in a dance bag or plastic box. Please write their names all over everything that they bring, every year we have so many pairs of dance shoes and uniforms lost that are never claimed.
Please use the following checklist:
- ALL costumes packed, this year these are your responsibility to bring. Please label your costumes.
- Stockings and dance underwear (wear on arrival)
- Concert t-shirt and APA bottoms (please wear on arrival)
- Shoes for all routines (please name them!)
- Makeup for touch-ups
- Extra bobby pins, safety pins, hair spray, elastics
- Water, water and more water (please name your bottle)
- Small amount of food for downtime in show.
- Students may want to bring a small quiet game, book or something to keep them amused.
Students in multiple routines:
Students in lots of routines may bring dream duffels but please be considerate of size as we have a large number of students involved in these shows.
Students in more than three routines we recommend you bring a pop-up laundry bag with handles and clearly marked with their name to the concert. These will be in the dressing room and used to collect your child's used costumes as they take them off.
Due to the way we will work backstage with the baskets, if you need two pairs of black socks or similar, pack two (or three pairs) so we don't need to go rummaging through the basket to find them.
Costumes are an exciting and important part of our End of Year Concerts.
